  • Prehnite is considered a stone of unconditional love and the crystal to heal the healer. It enhances precognition and inner knowing. Enables you always to be prepared. Prehnite calms the environment and brings peace and protection. It teaches how to be in harmony with nature and the elemental forces. Helpful for “decluttering” – letting go of possessions you no longer need, aiding those who hoard possessions, or love, because of an inner lack. Prehnite alleviates nightmares, phobias and deep fears, uncovering and healing the dis-ease that creates them. It is a stone for dreaming and remembering. Beneficial for hyperactive children and the causes that underlie the condition.
  • It is said that Prehnite heals the kidneys and bladder, thymus gland, shoulders, chest and lungs. It treats gout and blood disorders. Prehnite repairs the connective tissue in the body and can stabilise malignancy.
  • Until recently, this statement could be considered to be correct until discovery of the gem grade deposits in Northern Territory during the 1980's. Although prehnite is a relatively common mineral, especially in basalts, the gem variety of prehnite is considered rare. Because of the scarcity of high grade gem prehnite, Sun Jadeª, the material has not been marketed internationally. The deposits that we have, contained in three tenements totalling 200 square kilometres, are proving to contain a large quantity of the high gem grades suitable for high grade cabochons and faceted stones. Previously, prehnite was not used in jewellery because of it's insipid colour but with the discovery of yellow prehnite at our deposits prehnite should gain acclaim in the jewellery world. The surface material has been suncrazed. And faded due to exposure to the hot sun and extremes of temperature for hundreds of years.
  • The internet has brought the world closer and it is this advertising medium that has attracted buyers for prehnite. Graysons Enterprises, in their rare precious stone catalogue, and can be priced at $US60.00 per carat for a 4.90 carat cut prehnite. From the description, it would not be as good as our top green coloured material and the yellow material is considerably better and could, therefore command much higher prices.
  • Crystal are very rare. It has vitreous luster. It is Senistive to Heat (careful when Soldering). There are some prehnite cat's eyes (but very rare). Occurs in Australia (New South Wales, China, Scotland, South Africa and the U.S. (New Jersey). Can be confused with chrysoprase.
